
FLORIDA RESIDENT NAMED 2003 WIBC PROPRIETOR OF THE YEAR
GREENDALE, Wis. - Patrick Ciniello of Naples, Fla., Chief Executive Officer of Bowling Management Associates, Inc., has been named the 2003 Women's International Bowling Congress Proprietor of the Year.
The WIBC Proprietor of the Year Award annually recognizes an outstanding bowling center proprietor for his or her enthusiastic support of local, state and provincial women's bowling associations.
Ciniello has been heavily involved in the bowling industry his entire career. He is currently involved with and was a past president of the Bowling Centers Associations of Florida and served on the Bowling Proprietors Association of America Executive Board. Ciniello is also a past president and involved locally in the Southwest Florida Bowling Proprietor Group, which meets regularly to discuss issues affecting the local bowling industry.
Ciniello joined the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame Board of Directors in 1998. He was instrumental in establishing Qubica USA, revolutionizing the U.S. automatic scoring market, after meeting with Qubica innovators in Italy in 1993.
Each bowler who competes at one of Ciniello's three centers in Naples, Florida is sanctioned through a blanket sanctioning program. He has paid entry fees and sponsored teams to WIBC Tournaments and hosted numerous state and local tournaments for WIBC, ABC and YABA.
"When I first received notification that I had been selected Proprietor of the Year by the WIBC, I must say I was overwhelmed and practically speechless," said Ciniello. "After a few minutes the news finally sank in and I realized how honored I felt to be the recipient of this award. As a proprietor, being chosen as Proprietor of the Year by the WIBC membership organization is truly a special honor and greatly appreciated."
Ciniello received the award at the 2003 WIBC Annual Meeting April 28-30 in Reno, Nev.
