V.A. CLINICS BENEFIT FROM AREA BOWLERS GENEROSITY.
(Fort Myers)—Veterans who utilize the services of the Veterans Administration clinics in southwest Florida will benefit from a donation made by area bowlers, who are a part of the Bowlers to Veterans Link(BVL) organization.
The $11,000 donation comes directly from various fundraising efforts held in bowling centers throughout southwest Florida in the name of the Bowlers to Veterans Link organization. BVL is a national charity that raises money to fund recreation and therapeutic programs and services for America’s veterans. See full press realease |

Paula Cesare (Asst. Manager at Beacon Bowl) will bowl for 24 straight hours (ouch) to raise money for the Toys for Tots Program. Join Paula on Friday, Dec. 21 @ 4:00PM as she bowls straight through the night until 4:00PM on Saturday. Come on down to Beacon and cheer her on! Good Luck Paula! Oh yea...bring a toy or some money to help with this worthy cause. Her goal is to raise $5,000.00.

CONGRATS TO MARVIN YAGLEY!
In 60 years of recreational bowling, Port Charlotte's Marvin Yagley has heard the sweet music of the ball that sends 10 pins clattering in multiple directions. He's heard it thousands of times. But last Thursday at Bowland Lanes, that unmistakable din never sounded more perfect. The 74-year-old Yagley rolled the first 300-game of his life and eclipsed the 700 series in one afternoon.

It was wet... but spirits were high, and everyone had a good time. The theme of our float was "Bowling In A Winter Wonderland". The crew handed out candy canes and free games of bowling to the crowd.
